To those have been with us since the beginning, we appreciate you. Wesley and I have worked hard to deliver the product that you deserve. Throughout the year, we have our ups and downs trying to put together the best tools for football coaches available. Even though sometimes we get stuck in the weeds of the issues that arise when doing something like this, we believe in our mission: Helping football coaches save hours making playbooks, evaluating film, and creating scout cards. Every single time I have the opportunity to talk to one of you that are here with us and reading this even now, it brings me clarity that we are going to accomplish something great together.

That is why we are excited we are going to be doing our soft launch on January 8th. You will have access to the playbook building tools, some film tools, and the AI tracking will be available soon after. You guys will have special pricing, and the ability to give us feedback directly.

For the soft launch like I mentioned, the features will be limited, but more will get released as we progress. We need to make sure certain things work as intended and your feedback may change how certain things operate. Help us help you, and together we can make something great.

Remember: This is still in Beta

We are doing the best we can to make sure things work as intended, but we fully expect to encounter bugs. Think of this soft launch as a prototype. Will it be usable? Absolutely. Will it be perfect? No, we are still constructing, adjusting, and tweaking things to make sure it will be.

That is why not only it is important for you guys to use PlayIQ as much as possible, but you also give feedback. We will provide an email for you to email Wesley and I directly. We encourage you to give us what you like, don’t like, tell us about your experience, and also what are some other features you would like to see.

Q&A

These are some of the frequently asked questions we get and I am going to answer some here:

“Will the AI work for 12 or 6 man football”

No, the AI at launch will not work for 12 or 6 man football, or anything that is not 11on11 American football. It will work for scrimmages, spring games, and team segments of practice as long as you have a wide shot camera elevated on the sidelines. BUT- you can still use to other tools that don’t AI for whatever you want. 6man, 12man, flag, or even diagrams for drills.

“Will this replace Hudl?”

We are very aware of how much coaches use Hudl. The short answer is no, not yet. We are very aware of what the Hudl ecosystem has to offer. We are releasing tools at a affordable price point knowing our clients are going to use PlayIQ as well as Hudl. In the future though, we will be able to do EVERYTHING Hudl can do but butter, faster, and easier.

“We will this be available?”

Ahh yes. This is the question we get asked the most. I don’t think I realized how badly coaches wanted a platform like PlayIQ. The full launch with all the tools we will be creating with the AI tools, will happen most likely early 2026. Like I mentioned before, creating this AI model with has been very challenging and it is not ready yet.
